Jay
J. Cain
jcain@cainouse.com
Jay's electrical engineering experience includes
a wide variety of project and systems types.
Project types range from public works facilities
to educational facilities; multiple occupancy
housing to houses of worship; projects also
include extensive exterior electrical systems
in the form of streetscapes, parks, etc. Electrical
systems design types include normal power distribution
and communications systems, with extensive experience
in lighting design.
Jay has the classic
balance between the expected conservative engineer,
adhering to concepts of energy conservation, and
the artistic lighting designer creating illuminated
environments appealing to the eye but not disruptive
to the economy. Additionally, he also designs
the typical life safety and communications systems
are that are present on every project. His years
of experience creates engineering designs that
exceed owner's expectations and keeps projects
within the budget limitations.
A
1972 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Institute
of Technology with a BSEE, he now serves on several
boards and is an active member of the White Bear
Lake Rotary Club. Board activity includes the
Board of Directors of Connexus Energy, May Engineering,
and Two Sockets-Two Meters.
Being
associated with an electrical utility, his involvement
with Connexus Energy can be particularly helpful
to clients. What better way to understand utilities
and regulatory activities than to be on the board
of a multi-million-dollar electrical utility?

Maintenance facilities, Nursing Homes, and Churches,
he has experience in many types of Educational,
Gaming, and Medical facilities.
Scott
is a 1984 graduate from the Milwaukee School of
Engineering with a Bachelor of Science Degree

Allen
V. Theisen
atheisen@cainouse.com
Allen joined Cain Ouse Associates in 2001 to begin
the second generation of electrical engineering at
the firm. Having spent over four years at an architectural
and engineering firm, he brings into the company the
experience of integrating architectural and engineering
design elements. When mechanical and electrical designs
are thought of in a building design sense as well
as an engineering sense, buildings can function well
with an aesthetic flavor.
While
Allen's skills excel in designing the usual building
electrical systems, he also has several specialty
design areas that can fulfill unique client needs.
He has developed several outdoor lighting projects
where accenting activities and monuments complemented
the surrounding landscape.
He
has worked with clients in monitoring their utility
power quality. Clean electrical power is very critical
to certain industries. Ensuring that local power
companies provide owners with clean power, and
he has designed supplemental systems when they
can't.
Allen
is a member of the Hill Murray Catholic High School
facilities committee. He is also an active community
member working with youth as a coach and in scouting.
Allen
is a graduate of North Dakota State University. He
received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1989 and
began designing building electrical systems shortly
afterward.
