Senior housing has been the largest
portion of our work these past several years. With the
aging Baby Boomers moving into retirement, large numbers
of these facilities are being renovated or constructed.
We are involved with senior housing projects
daily. We work with architects, contractors, and directly
with owners to upgrade older facilities and build new buildings.
We coordinate the complex engineering
systems going into the project with the other aspects of
the design. These systems include not only heating cooling,
and lighting, but also technology cabling, emergency power
systems, and humidity control. We have deep experience
with these systems and many others.
St. Croix Senior Housing
St. Croix Senior Housing
is located on the beautiful St. Croix River in Bayport,
MN. It replaced a 1960’s vintage nursing home that
no longer met the needs of the community. The new facility
has 60 independent and 60 assisted living units to allow
seniors that grew up in the St. Croix Valley, to stay in
the Valley.
We provided full electrical
and mechanical design services designing this building.
The scope included a new chiller plant for full facility
cooled HVAC system, full building electrical system support
through an emergency generator, plumbing, lighting and
other engineering systems.
